Meetings of the Hawaii Botanical Society

The general public is welcome to any Hawaii Botanical Society meeting.

Meeting Information:

June 12th, 2018 at 7 pm:

E kanu i ka huli ̒oi ha̅ ̒ule ka ua.
(Plant the taro stalks while there is rain.)

Julie U ̒ ilani Au will provide an overview of ̒ike la̅ ̒au (botanical knowledge) within Hawaiian language archives.

Topics to be discussed include early articles concerning plants and farming, the creation of the ̒Ahahui Mahi ̒ai (agricultural association), medicinal and dietary practices, and other points of interest.

Meetings of the Hawaii Botanical Society take place at the:
Manoa Public Library, 2716 Woodlawn Dr, Honolulu.

We have free covered parking! The parking gate will be open at 6:30 pm.

Refreshments will be provided!
